Just
thought that I would check in as I have not done so in a long time. I
went to Pope the other day and went through the museum. For the most
part it is first class. I just wish that they would put more about the
50's and 60's, It is like we never existed and we done a lot of "stuff"
that was never even hinted about.
I also think (and other old farts) that there is a great gap between the "new"cct
and the "old" cct. We feel left out and ignored. I do not know the answer as
to how to resolve this but I beleive that is worth looking into.

Hello
I'm still here on the bottom side of the whole mess kicking and
screaming. I'm all by myself turned 71 last month seems to be the same
except I got tired of my wheels and bought a 2007 Cadillac STS to go
with my Harley my wife is livid sorry about but if I keep waiting I may
not need either one what the hell. Seems the new Combat Control is on a
spiral up we used to do more things by ourselves but not with the
intensity that you do now also seems that you are more accapted in the
military relm wish I had reenlisted but when I got to Travis in 69 I got
unlisted so fast I still had jet lag.

We
sold the big house on Long Lake and moved to Anchorage into a small
apartment. It is a coop 55+ community with great amenities. I don't have
to shovel snow this morning Yes we woke up to snow. We'll be leaving
10/14 for Medical Lake to visit Mike & Rosalia, pick up our camper
and then meander south to El Paso de Robles for the winter. A big relief
to get rid of our treasures (stuff) and down size. Life is good!

Searching
still for Maj. Willard Kern, killed in plane crash from Howard AFB to
Uruguay, Apr.30,1970. I have photos of him and a letter which is signed
"Bill". My husband's mother was Panamanian and passed away a few yrs
ago, but left info on him. He went by Bill Kern, and we suspect he was
actually the Willard Kern we found stationed there that was Commander of
the plane that crashed in Uruguay. I am unable to find where I can
upload his photo. If there is someone that might have known him, please

my husband's biological father, that we believe may have been killed in
a C-123 crash in Uruguay April 30, 1970. His name was noted to be
William Kern, but is likely the Maj. Willard J. Kern performing a
demonstation when his plane crashed. He was stationed at Howard AFB, CZ
from around 1965 or 66, and my husband was born March 1967. We have
photos and a letter from him. Anyone that may have any info, please

Did anyone of you know a man named Sgt Bobby Cox or Gene Tatum who was
at an airforce base in Thailand called "NKP" . I cant pronounce it but
its called Nan Kom Penn or somethign like that they called it NKP They
were both CCTs sent there in 1970 or 1971 on a temporary duty assignment
from Tinker Air Force Base

to see CC Choate and Al Huddleston in La and Tx. Took pictures. Will
visit soon. Disappointed in CCA at reunion. Jerry Whitley has it right
about HOF. I Won't get sidetracked again with anything but camaraderie

Jesus Christ for allowing me to serve and survive with such patriots and
